How to prevent hair fall with home remedies:

Grieving over excess hair fall? Massaging your scalp for a few minutes daily and avoiding combing wet hair will help in preventing it, says an expert.

* Hair massage treatment: Massaging your scalp for a few minutes daily will help stimulate circulation. Good circulation on the scalp keeps hair follicles active.

Take olive or coconut oil, mix two drops of lemon in it. Massage it gently into your scalp. Put on a shower cap and leave it on for an hour, then shampoo your hair.

* Homemade hair spa: Blend some drops of olive oil in warm water and dip a heavy towel in the water for two minutes and then cover your hair with the towel. This will give your hair a natural spa.

* Natural juices: You can rub your scalp with either garlic, onion or ginger juice. Leave it on overnight and wash it thoroughly in the morning.

* Do not comb wet hair: It is best not to comb wet hair as this leads to greater chances of hair breakage and fall. Let it be dry or semi-dry before combing.

Beauty benefits of used green tea bags
We are all well aware of the health benefits of green tea, but before you discard the used green tea bag, think twice.

Just sipping this tea is not the only benefit you have. This packed small tea bag can work wonders for your skin. Read on to find out more...

For your eyes only
Don't throw away the tea bags and instead, cool them and place them over your eyes for relief. Green tea contains tannin, an astringent that miraculously shrinks skin. The cool tea bags reduce the swelling around your eyes and tighten the skin, making you look and feel fabulous.

Scrub it on
Since it helps tighten the skin, making a green tea facial scrub out of the used tea is very good for the face. Mix green tea with granulated sugar and water, and you have an exfoliating scrub. It is all natural and thus light on the skin and gives you an incredible glow. You can store the scrub in the fridge to keep it fresh for longer.

Face mask
Mix equal amounts of baking soda and green tea and a bit of honey to make a facial mask. Honey helps in rejuvenating your skin and green tea, as mentioned, tightens the skin. Baking soda is a good exfoliator and helps detox the skin.

In case you're short on time and cannot apply the face mask, heat water and run the tea bag over it till it starts to steam. Squeeze out most of the water and rub the bag over your face for a few minutes for an instant glow.

For your hair
Yes, a green tea rinse is good for your mane as well and gives your hair a great shine. Put a few green tea bags in boiling water and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Leave it overnight. The next morning, pour this water on damp hair and leave it for 10 minutes. You can massage your scalp if you like. Rinse it off and apply shampoo later as usual, but make sure to use a sulphate-free product.

Mistakes which can ruin your hair

You love your tresses and you take care of them like your most prized possession, don’t you?
Well, despite all your efforts, there are instances when you do things which can irrevocably damage your hair.
Here, five things you should never do to your hair.
Take a look.
-Over-shampooing strips natural oils from the hair and scalp, leading to dry, brittle hair. Even with long hair, a nickel-sized amount of shampoo is enough. Hair should not be shampooed every day. If you have an oily scalp that seems to demand daily shampoo, you can put your hair in a loose bun, and wash only your scalp. Or, massage your scalp under the water between washings.
-Towel turban is actually bad for wet hair. Wet hair should be gently squeezed with the towel, or even dried with an old tee-shirt. Wringing or rubbing your hair with the towel will only encourage frizz and breakage.
-Never brush hair when wet. Wet hair does not have the tensile strength of dry hair, and can very easily snap when submitted to the stress of hairbrushes and combs. Ideally, allow your hair to dry before you brush it.
-Wearing hair in a tight pony tail or bun for long periods is very hard on your scalp, and causes stress to hair. Tight hair ties pull on the hair follicles, and metal hair clips often pull hairs out when removed.
-Aging hair should never be dyed or heat treated, and really does not appreciate styling products. Older locks should be handled reverentially.

Home remedies to remove tanning in 1 month

If sunscreens have failed to yield their magic on your skin and the harsh summer heat has taken a toll on your skin, worry no more, you can easily get rid of the tanned look.

Here’s what you can do.
-Scrubbing is a great way to exfoliate the dead skin and get a natural glow. Try to exfoliate the skin by using a paste of gram flour and water/milk. Leave on the face of tanned area upto 20 minutes and wash it gently with cold water.
-You can apply milk cream on your face and leave it overnight and then wash your face in the morning. In this way, the skin gets enough moisture and feels rejuvenated. The milk cream does not only remove the carbonic particles but also causes skin whitening.  It  helps the layer of the skin that is darkened become lighter. You can continue this therapy daily and it does not create any side effect.
-You can prepare a mixture of natural substances such as orange juice, water and cucumber juice and then apply the mixture to your face. Apply it on your face like a mask. Because of the citric content in the orange juice, the cooling effect of the cucumber juice acts as a great tan remover.
-Add a teaspoonful of turmeric powder to 1 tablespoon milk. You can also add fresh orange juice to this mixture. Apply it to the face and let it dry. Then you can wash your face with cool water.
-Soak a cotton pad in fresh coconut water and dab it all over your face and neck, may be even hands. Give gentle strokes and allow it to penetrate into your skin pores and then wash it off with cold water. This solution can be used daily to get better and lasting results.
